The Barrackpore Lalkuthi educational Society, under the West Bengal Societies Registration act 1961, was founded by Sri Ganga Shaw, a social worker of the area. He with his far reaching sight decided to open a school in the name of Barrackpore Senate Public School (High). The site selected is really an ideal place for imparting education as it was the demand and necessity of the locality to change their thought and environment.
The people of this locality generally belong to middle and poor class families and they do not educate their children properly in lack of money and environment. Now this school at Barrackpore is playing a vital role to bring happiness among the people of this locality and it surroundings.
The opening ceremony of the school was held on 30th April. 1995 and the ribbon was cut by Dr. Pravin Kumar, M.L.A. The occasion was graced by Sri T.N.Mishra. Ex-Principal of Rishra Model School and Late Ram Bilash Singh, councilor as the Guest-in-Chief.
Dr.Pravin Kumar in his speech emphasized the need of this type of school at Barrackpore and its surroundings. He advised to foster with the participation of the children in various co-curricular activities and excel them. He also desired to help the School in every field as far as possible for him.
The successful implementation brought another milestone in 2006 and encouraged to open another branch at Mohanpur. Sewli Telenipara and it was founded by our beloved school mother and social worker Late Fulpati Shaw. The school is glad to run in accordance to the expectation of the people of Mohanpur and its surrounding.
